Let’s Stay Safe, Let’s Be Kind…But Let’s Get Moving!
Our Virtual Fun Run Series will get you moving in a way that works for you, AND meets all Provincial Health Orders.
The series will feature eight virtual runs, starting in May and ending in October. Participants will have one week to complete the designated distance – either alone or with those in their bubble – and the flexibility to choose:
- WHEN (time of day/day of the week)
- WHERE (inside on a treadmill/through your neighbourhood/on a local trail)
- PACE (walk/jog/run)
- DISTANCE (there is a 5k option for each event, some 10ks, 21.1ks, and even one 30km)
- AND whether you complete the distance all at once, over over the course of several days during the challenge week
While we’re disappointed we won’t be hosting in-person races this season, we’re excited to set some milestones for our running friends and hope this series inspires them to achieve some personal bests. We hope it offers families ‘something to do’ together, as they look for challenging, but safe activities this season. And we hope to encourage people who may not be interested in a race to tackle this series at their own pace.
Registration fee: $70 for individuals, $150 for families (two adults and dependent children)
All registrants will receive a Finisher’s t-shirt and medal at the end of the series in October and the chance to win draw prizes over the course of the six-month series.
Registration opens on Friday, March 26th and will remain open until the start of our last event on October 17th, but only those registered by September 15th will receive a PGRR 2021 Virtual Fun Run Series t-shirt and Finisher’s medal.
Click Here to register online through Stride & Glide.
Participants will receive an email reminder prior to the start of each virtual challenge.
